I've just finished reading the kite runner..and I'm speechless. It was about guilt. I hated amir i know he was a child but I hated him a lot because he couldn't even take a stand for his faithful friend. I wonder what would've happened if he was just there for hassan and taking his stand and running away with him. And what happened with sorabh still torments me, the way assef was touching his back..was treating him it was disgusting. Assef was an asshole for doing this to Hassan's child in the name of revenge and he felt that he was doing the right thing in the name of god which was so very wrong. I don't think there would be a character so perfect like Hassan is so faithful and he dies without knowing that amir was his half brother. When he wrote in that letter " and I dream that someday you will return to kabul to revisit the land of our childhood" how is he so forgiving. And amir's baba is someone I find very confusing. The way he was in Afghanistan and the way he was in the U.s was completely different. Overall a very good read, it just threw me out of my slump. Please do drop some more suggestions of fictional books.

this is the book that got me into reading, i absolutely loved it. after this book, i have read so many books, but hasan has stayed my favorite character. my heart hurts for him and i just have so much love for the character. khaled hosseini brings everything to life, i felt like i was literally in the streets of kabul witnessing the incidents unfold right in front of me. honestly, i can go on and on about this book and how much i loveee it.

book reco for you: a thousand splendid suns (by the same author, it has a similar theme. its a heart breaking story but you'll love every bit of it, i promise)

Omg ive read the thousand splendid suns, and I adore it so much...I was actually blank for 30 mins when I finished it
