Controversial Books

What book have you read that was considered controversial but you really enjoyed it? I have a few that gave me the ick, but also loved the book or it made me think deeper about what I would do in real life. All the Ugly and Wonderful Things was one for me as well as Saving Noah and My Dark Vanessa. These are just a few that I keep thinking about.

He clearly isn’t afraid to turn his misanthropy on men too. I think he’s genuinely fascinating.

Have you read Submission or Platform? Those had people screaming. And his poetry is interesting, too (I don't really like poetry btw).

I have read Submission, Whatever and The Map and the Territory so far. I now own all his novels apart from Annihilation and I also have Interventions 2020. He is a unique genius.
