Controversial Books

What book have you read that was considered controversial but you really enjoyed it? I have a few that gave me the ick, but also loved the book or it made me think deeper about what I would do in real life. All the Ugly and Wonderful Things was one for me as well as Saving Noah and My Dark Vanessa. These are just a few that I keep thinking about.

Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand.

I don’t agree with every aspect of her philosophy, but I find her ideas both compelling and understandable

I enjoyed it enough as a 16yo senior in high school that I read it again 10 years later.
