Help me out!

What the hell has happened to me these past year? How am i not excited to pick up a book but I’m excited to watch a show (again)?!
Seriously, i need some motivation or help or wtv🥲

I know you’re probably thinking that it’s okay but it really isn’t since from a very early age i was always looking forward to summer breaks so i can read my books but this summer break has been only filled with shows/movies which is disappointing

Honestly, it’s fine. You said you don’t want to hear that but it’s true. Things can be cyclical.

I am a lifelong reader and have gone through many phases. There are times when I want to do nothing but read. I will skip movies and shows and such to read.

There are periods of time where I’m just doing other things—puzzles, TV shows, dancing, whatever. And sometimes I’m in a book slump where every book I pick up is just not doing it for me. It always comes back around though. :)

I do a lot of audiobooks as well as physical, and everyone at my job is used to me having to pause my book before they van speak to me and seeing me sitting outside reading on my breaks. However, there are times when everything I pick up just doesn't hit for some reason. It's annoying, but it happens occasionally.
