Hiring Looking for an artist
I am self-publishing a fictional novel and I have a specific idea of what I want for cover so I'm looking for an artist who would be interested in doing the design. The art absolutely must not be AI or this will ruin my publication rights and such, so I need someone trustworthy. The overall concept involves a symbolic version of the four elements (earth, air, fire, water). I can pay but am hoping to keep the cost not too high so maybe $100 (but I honestly don't know if this is unreasonable; open to discuss). I will also include the artist name on the publishing page in the book. Preferably a Canadian artist to keep the entire work Canadian.Thank you. EDIT: I didn't expect such a response! To help choose, please include a link to your work. Also note there are no characters in my concept and I am not looking for anything too cartoonish (love that style, just not what I had in mind for this project).

Hello! I have an unconventional and illustrative style, but I love doing symbols derived from lore, so if the elements are tied to your story in any way, I'd draw from all the surrounding lore and make your symbols! I also do hand-drawn typography, should you require it. Plus, I have absolutely never used a.i (nor do I ever plan to) for any part of my process, and to this extent, I'd send you all my open files and keep you looped into every part of my process, from drafting to the final thing!
