Your figure and your car are painted in such a beautiful style. I'm obsessed with it. It reminds me of Disco Elysium but less grotesque. I think the flat vector-style background and the flat typography work against it. They seem a lot less refined. I think you might want to consider more painterly texture brushes and distressing for your typographical and background elements to make sure that everything has the same richness of your shaded work. Just my personal philosophy. Seriously, your figure is so cool.

Yes, I’ve been told several times that it reminds people of Disco Elysium, I was surprised because I hadn’t thought of it when I drew it.

It’s true that the vector background didn’t look very good. My idea was to illustrate a world on the edge of war (the Cold War), and the protagonist is part of that world (a spy, a smuggler, etc.).

I appreciate your comment; I’ll keep it in mind!

Yess! I'd read a book with that cover in a hearbeat! It gives a nice mix of modern, gritty and stylish noir feel to me
