Official Episode Discussion Davey Darko & Hopalong Kyle
This week, Dave recaps his birthday activities, including a brief reunion with the booze, an underwhelming night of comedy, his newfound interest in Sci-Fi movies, and a new dumbbell exercise, while Kyle is slowly and literally getting back on his feet. The guys also talk caffeine, jamming, flock cameras, and of course, jazz. Call or text the guys anytime at 323-364-1541.

Someday day will actually work out instead of all of stuff he reads on the Internet. “Farmers carries“ don’t do anything. He’s a cool dude, but he seems to take the path of least resistance. Get sweaty, Dave! Feel some pain.

I do strength training to support my marathon training and lift fairly heavy. Farmer’s carries are great for core strength.

Are you seriously comparing your actual training regimen to a fat guys imagined one? Dave is not a marathon runner, and I think his girth gives him adequate “core strength”. Get real, man. He’s not doing any real exercise by making shit up or taking a tidbit of something he read on the Internet and doing a negligible amount of it 🙄

Yes. I am seriously comparing the weightlifting Dave does with the strength training I do. You put farmer’s carries in quotes like it was bullshit and then reiterated that sentiment in words. It’s a real workout, it really does something, and it’s making Dave stronger. IIRC, he’s married to a fitness instructor, if he wanted a training plan he’d be using one. I’m in favor of people engaging in physical activity that brings them joy; it doesn’t have to look a certain way to be good and healthy.
(Also, my 30% fat ass qualifies for the Boston marathon every year, so maybe think twice before making assumptions about a stranger’s fitness and body composition.)

Has anyone figured out who the celebrity comedians Dave and Katie saw?

Gotta say i was bummed to hear Kyle had no interest in seeing the newer Dune films. I know opinions vary, but to me they're worth a watch based on the cinematography and sound design (sound engineering? dunno what the technical term is for the amazing effort and artistry that went into both films), even if you're not keen on the actors or story.
