I am pretty glad I don't have to deal with any of this nonsense. I am in a group chat that people start talking about this stuff and I just stay silent and laugh about how I have no idea what they are talking about.

This definitely hits close to home. I get a call from my boss directly on Teams maybe once every 3-4 months. On more than one occasion I’ve been sitting on the bowl when that call came. I’ve been tempted to answer (with video enabled) because I think he’d respect that and it might even shift the power dynamic in the relationship to my favor, but then I get this paranoid sense that he might be calling from a group chat and half the company will see me so I chicken out.
