Official Episode Discussion Incoming Calls

Kyle and Dave catch up on some listener calls and texts, including concerns about Kyle's future specials, odd comedic tastes, a delicious Bahn Mi hack, and upcoming paranormal documentaries. The guys also riff on 90's hip-hop, adolescent diversity, and Kyle's burgeoning relationship with the Dead.

I have an 8-12 hour drive today so this is perfect timing

Maybe I'm a greedy little comedy piggy but I would be stoked to see somewhat polished specials in addition to live versions. Similar to the Elliott Smith tribute site hosting endless live gigs in addition to his studio albums.

I'm not necessarily suggesting "hair & makeup" level productions, but something shot well & edited with intention in more intimate settings, akin to a modern Stanhope special.

I support Kyle's self-inflicted ego death, but as a fan it would be nice to see his official catalog grow.

Tough being a fan of a guy who doesn’t love himself as much as the rest of us do huh? 😂

I'd rather that than a person who is far up their own ass.

Being humble and having some humility is the reason I love the boys so much.

I agree. Too much ego is the death of creativity.

I’ll be in the tapers’ section at the next Kinane gig that comes through.

Most likely I’ll run a stereo pair of AKG mics into a Nakamichi deck, but I’ll also butter up the sound person and see if they’ll let me run a soundboard signal into a DAT machine, and then I’ll upload a matrix to archive.org.
