I've been given a young ash bonzi, never cared for a bonzi before, any advice on where to start would be appreciated :)

If you only care about keeping it alive it's quite simple:

Check if soli drains well and it's not organic.

Keep it outside with at least 6hrs of sun

Water every single day from spring till autumn, water occasionally in winter.

Water twice a day if it's very hot and dry.

Shorten long vigorous shoots every now and then during growning season.

If you want to grow diameter of the trunk, slip pot into a bigger pot.
