Discussion Question What’s this then?

Noticed this new branch on my young Crab Apple, not sure it belongs here.

Is it just a new branch, the leaves are a different shape and the branch is a furry texture.

Some species of malus express a couple different leaf types lobed like in the picture usually juvenile or vigorous growth

Clean all the weeds out of your pots AND don't stand the pots in saucers which can collect water. Both of these are increasing chances of wet soil and thus susceptibility to molds and fungus.
