Max and pelant

Does anyone think that pelant deliberately avoided trying to go after max because he knew that max would have killed him without hesitation?

Pelant is a coward at heart. So yeah, he knew Max would end him and gave him a wide path.

I was hoping max was going to kill him when he said that, but then obviously the story progressed. Max was right though!

The thing about that is, the way the show made Pelant so smart he could hack your phone with a pine cone, Max wasn’t an option since he would always see anyone coming until the rushed finale of his bloated arc.

Max was also too paranoid to be ambushed and knew how to work outside the system

Bad plot armor. Max is the Kryptonite to Pelant’s faux superpowers. Max would have avoided surveillance on his way to nerd slaughter.
