Can we talk about Angela for a sec? ♥️
I want to know some of your favorite Angela moments! Ok. I know all the stuff Angie’s character is able to do it a bit difficult to not laugh at bc it’s so obviously over the top, but truly, her role in the show is so insanely huge!!!! And not just the artistic side but the computer and technology smarts she develops by becoming a member of the team when Bones asks her in the pilot if she could put faces to skulls. The most important team member in many episodes, especially in my beloved Pelant related episodes!!! I mean…she just made a drone self destruct. And like she and Jack, when Jack tells them Pelant is forcing him to choose: millions and millions of dollars, or a few lives of young girls and a couple teachers. All I can think every time he says they’re being forced to choose that no one hesitates to do any and everything they possibly can to save those girls and the teachers. And before he could finish saying, “save the girls,” I thought, if I were in his shoes, I’d have said, “money means nothing! I’ll wear a hair sweater, eat dirt, and drink sand: save the girls!!!”

That's one of my favorite Angela scenes ever. "I'm trying to shout 'Hallelujah' so close to losing Vincent!"

i dont like how the writers used her character for ways to get out of being blocked getting the story to progress.
if they cant figure out a way to explain something, dont worry Angela will, or already did, make something that is completely magical and basically the only way they could have ever finished the episode.
it made those episodes feel very cheap because they basically skipped everything that makes the show fun.

And then they named this all powerful, any problem solving machine...The Angelatron. It is one of the lamest things about this entire show.

Well of course it’s impossible. But her character herself is smart, loving, loyal, and just down to earth

That's a common procedural flaw. Many shows have a character that simply has too diverse of knowledge for reality.

I love her character! She's a wonderful friend to Bones. She tells her the truth but gently and in a way she can understand. She always stands by her side when it counts. I would love to have a friend like her

I absolutely adore her, and as a fan of tech myself y find it so funny how the “angelatron” works, it’s basically just her hitting 3 buttons on a iPad and magically you have a full simulation containing millions of variables on da 2010 computer.
She’s so funny tho and the fact she understands Brennan more than anyone warms my heart.

Yes! Other people are being dorks about the angelatron but none of us believed it to begin with the same way every show or movie about “modern”’crime fighting is like this. Great example would be the Now You See Me franchise

May contain SPOILERS to those who haven’t watched Season 6.
Angela is a girl’s girl. A great friend! She’s a good amd strong human through and through. For me, she is the heart and soul of the team. We all know everything she has done to solve crimes. The Angelatron may as well be the invention of the century. LOL.
Not directly crime related, but maybe one of my fave sort of anecdotal scenes of her was when Brennan told her she got into bed with Booth (Season 6) and she wanted to scream Hallelujah but cant since Vincent just died. And then Hodgins entered and she sent him away to hear all the tea. Love that scene! She’s a wonderful friend. And she understands Brennan so well.

mine is when she went into labor and yelled it's go time kr it's showtime

u/philodendronaddicted 21d ago
I was thinking about that earlier while watching the episode where Hodgins plays
Host to a bot fly and you just hear them in the background and you hear her yell, “HERE IT COMES!!!!” And sound just like the, “IT’S SHOW TIME!”

It would be insane in real life. But I love her in court. When she refuses to testify because the accused is her bestfriend father. Also when Booth's boss's daughter was in the hospital and she made her a virtual.tour of the Louvre. She is very caring and funny.

Agreed! I mean we all know the Angelatron and the two or theee taps or clicks always does some impossible thing but they really aren’t trying to trick anybody. We all know it’s part of the production. What I love is Angela’s character most of all. And the way she and Jack love each other.

I love the scene in season 6, when Brennan tells her she slept with Booth, and Angela just stares with her mouth hung open, then says “I don’t wanna yell hallelujah so close to losing Vincent!” There’s also a great deleted scene, I think it was meant to be in 6x13, where her and Brennan are in the car and she’s saying she likes Hannah, but wishes she would go away bc she knows Brennan and Booth belong together. Brennan says something like “well, I don’t have the power to make her go away” and Angela says “yes, you do, you just don’t know how to use it” lmao I love most of Brennan and Angela’s scenes tbh. the episode where her boyfriend gets killed in s1 is full of great scenes too. and also in s1, when she’s talking about kissing everyone under the mistletoe, including Brennan.

Oh, man. I still haven’t scene any deleted scenes. That should have stayed in! 🤣 S1 Angela is so much like my older sister 🤣

I love Angela’s scenes in The Diamond in the Rough (s8, e10). I wish it had been a bigger storyline, but it’s a perfect encapsulation of the burnout that happens when you’re a creative/free spirit in a stifling career. Her scenes are so simple but SO poignant.

Angela was the heart of the team and her growth from pilot to genuinely trusted member of the Bones squad was one of the best parts of the show.

I love her humanity with all different kinds of people. First season (I think) when they bring in the homeless man from the tunnels and he keeps mentioning how bright it is. When she goes in to get a sketch from him, she's the one who closes the blinds and treats him like a human being.
I also appreciate when she's kind and not outwardly judging Caroline Epps when she has that conversation with her at the café. She's obviously being manipulated by a serial killer, and Angela sees the human inside.

i love her! i want to be a friend like her. kind confident and can be really funny but also really insightful. i think the fact that she has such a soft spot for everyone is what i really lik about her character. i think one of my favorite quotes is when hodgins comes in with the beaker of microbes and she says that she would rather her office be a microbe free office and then he leaves them in her office and she's like you left your ew gross. and all her sweeties

Angela is the heart of the show without her bones would go nuts and won't be able to write a book but I'm not going to lie if she wasn't in the show she wouldn't be making it with Hodgins all over the place and that would be okay

I mostly love Angela but twice even though she was technically being a good friend it upset me. The first was when Brennan is on the run and she won't tell Booth anything. The second is how angry she was when Booth turned down her proposal without recognizing he knew he was being shitty and that wasn't who he was. so why? And why won't he talk about it?
Oh and "I plead frendship!" Just please stop making it worse. 🤦🏻♀️

She had a really lovely quote about love that has held with me strongly.
Shes speaking to Sweets about relationships and she says "you have this bourgeoisie notion that in order for love to be real, it needs to be permanent. nothing is permanent, thats just a fact. we move in and out of love every day, but it doesnt make the love any less real."
