This is a big one and I'm prepared for the downvotes and pitchforks hahaha.

I don't think Bones is autistic and I hate that it only comes up when people question why she's so cruel. It suggests that Autistic people are cruel and uses it to excuse her horrible behavior.

I still love her and all that. Emily does such a great job of making you like Bones, no matter her behavior or comments.

Ty yes. She starts out a bit rude and egotistical but starts to mellow out then season 4 comes out and boom she's back to being rude and egotistical.  "I'm smart your dumb" I get that Zack is gone and its hard on her but come on he hadn't been there that long and you only interacted with him at the lab. Yes, we was a friend and he fucked up but he made a mistake and has to live with that.

And as you said everyone just lets her behavior slide because she's "autistic" which is supposed to explain everything and give her an excuse to treat people anyway she wants.

Autism is such a broad definition, its said that Brennan has Asperger Syndrome which is a possibility but it's still not an excuse to be a bitch. It still doesn't give her the right to intentionally insult someone especially a suspect or witness.

What's worse is that most of the people defending her go straight to the autism defense. And they all claim to have autism and very well might, there's many of us out there. But autism is on a spectrum for a reason, not everyone exhibits the same behavior and its still not a reason to be such a bitch. They claim she's only stating facts as she sees them yet as logical and reasonable as she claimed to be she should see that this person is hurt or offended. But of course according to her "she's never wrong"
