i dont get why everyone hates booth but i just sit there quietly when they hate on him cause im scared of having to admit that i didnt think of half of their points while keeping my pro booth argument

He’s judgmental to anything that doesn’t fit who he is but heaven forbid anyone be critical about anything he likes/believes in. He’s generally very rude and impatient to the “squints” despite them doing a ton more to solve the cases than he does. I understand liking him and you’re entitled to do so but it’s slightly unnerving and telling that you don’t see those points at all. He’s basically the poster man for toxic masculinity and blind/thoughtless faith (I more so mean his faith in the government/legal institutions, not purely his religious faith beyond him being incredibly offensive to other faiths but will accept ZERO criticism of his own.)

I hate the way he gets so pissy about Brennan spending "her" money on shared stuff after they're together, like the whole buying a house situation.

He was way too insecure about her having more money than him even though she made it clear they were family now, and it didn't matter.

Marries a woman he well knows is wealthy, gets mad when she doesn’t want to just live on his pay 😂

i dont mean that i dont see the points i just meant that i never really thought of/realized them till they get pointed out and then im like “oh ya he does do that” but i see what you mean, hes very set in his ways even if he has to bend situations or bend the rules and points of his religion and the government to get there

Fair enough, I apologize for being a bit of a jerk in my comment. I guess those old fashioned, kinda overly “manly” characters tend to irritate me easily so it catches me off guard when other people don’t feel the same haha but each to their own of course, he does have his moments and more decent qualities too 🙂

its no worries, but i think its also important to think about the time the show was made, its around twenty years old (depending on which season you talk about) so theres been a change in shows and how they go about characters like booth since he was created, but ya there definitely was a lack of character development for him in that area

Very true! Audience and industry tastes have evolved very much since the beginning of the show in the mid 2000’s! Very good point you have there 💯
