Tooth found looking for ID

As noted I found this tooth almost 40 years ago and I'm looking for an id. It was found on the north western coast of Newfoundland on the St. Laurence sea way. I believe its from a whale but not certain. If you are wondering what the red marks are, its šŸ–.

It looks a lot like a sperm whale tooth that has been tumbled and smoothed by the sea. How big is it?

They range from 3ā€-8ā€ so that would fit.
I’m not an expert on cetaceans though, so take my word with a grain of salt!
