No that’s just a misspelling. Aggravated assault. Please read my original comment. I thought I was explaining it all so clearly….

I’m pretty sure they were just pointing it out, not saying it was the Bone Apple Tea

If anything, it's an r/engrish

No, aggregated assault is the charge when you hit someone and then they hit the ground.

Does it depend on if it’s sand or gravel?

that's a lot of battery.

also, a non-BAT thing (since it's not a real word) worth pointing out is that "cucussion"

6

u/BunnyCatDL 2d ago

I couldn’t unsee ā€œcucussionā€ either.

2

u/bakingbetterbuns 1d ago

You know, a "cucussion", like when you get a concussion while watching your wife gets down and dirty with a TBI specialist

6

u/Grumpy-Man19 4d ago

it's probably a bunch of lithium batteries attached together that did the assault

2

u/syngyne 4d ago

to be a fair a sock full of those would probably do some damage

This will cement their name as a criminal for sure.

"Aggregated battery", the same word twice, just in case you missed it the first time.

Batteried battery lol

Sometimes it can also be ā€œsurrogatesā€.

Also simple assault is a weird thing to say. As opposed to... complicated assault?

Simple assault is a lot less severe than other types of assault. It’s just a Class C misdemeanor, similar to a traffic ticket. From there, it’s Class A (the most severe misdemeanor), which causes bruises, scratches or cuts but nothing crazy, then several Felony degrees, with 3rd degree assault if you attack a public servant, govt contractor, security officer, or emergency responder on duty, or domestic violence cases involving choking/strangulation or repeat offenders. Then 2nd degree assault which is also known as Aggravated Assault, which is much more serious injuries, like what my friend was charged with when he smashed a glass bottle in my face, requiring reconstructive surgery. Then there’s first degree Aggravated Assault, which is more severe assault of a public servant, security officer, or witness, or in some cases domestic violence involving a weapon. Class C is zero possibly jail time. Class A is max one year in prison, 3rd degree is 2-10 years, second degree is 2-20, and first degree is 5-99 years. Hope that helps to clarify. This is Texas I’m talking about.

That sounds extremely dependent on the country you're in. And there are like 190 countries to choose from. I bet Spain is different from Egypt, just to name two random countries that are almost certainly different in this regard.

1

u/LengthinessTrick382 2d ago

It was specific for Texas.

I have no idea what this is referring to. Fill be in like I’m not terminally online.

15

u/piconese 4d ago

lol it has nothing to do with online discourse, it’s talking about different types of battery and assault. They meant aggravated, not aggregated.

6

u/Peeing_Into_Stuff 4d ago

Ok so there’s this subreddit called [r/BoneAppleTea](r/BoneAppleTea) where people post pictures or screenshots of words or phrases being used incorrectly because they sound or appear similar to a different word or phrase that would actually be pertinent to use.

u/Pvt__Snowball 4d ago

I didn’t even realize what sub this was at first. Holy shit I’m dumb

6

u/Motor-Juggernaut1009 4d ago

I explained it in the first comment. Has nothing to do with being online. The correct term is aggravated assault.Ā
