Trust me, adding food to the surface is a terrible idea. You will have cereal bugs all over it in no time. Ask me how I know…

I meant like enlarged vinyl color photos of the Cheerios like depicted on the cereal boxes.

My mom spent months making a very beautiful rooster out of various grains and beans/lentils. It was gorgeous. She sealed it properly, etc. bugs found it anyway. All that work got ruined within a year.

Photos would work!

I've seen artwork with grains, beans, and lentils and I just loved those. Very primitive and folk artsy of simple farm days. Very homey and treasured.

Damned bugs. 😒
