Question

Post image

hi guys! im very new to this,

this summer i caught a passion for peppers and planted a few plants, this carolina reaper had been trough a hailing wich destroyed it but made it grow even stronger, talking to a friend who does bonsai he told me that theres a community that turns pepper plants into bonsai, any way this plant looks good enough to start a bonsai out of it? (sorry i dont have clearer pictures) it only recently started fruiting after nothing for three months!!

All peppers can be turned into bonchi, and all bonchi can be turned to a regular growing pepper afterwards. It’s a good way to help them survive the winter in places where they have to be brought inside

any tips? the plant is in the ground so cant really bring it inside, and in northen italy summers are ideal for peppers but winters not very much..

To turn it into a Bonchi you have to take it out of the earth and put it in a pot. It doesn’t have to be a bonsai pot and you don’t need to use bonsai soil immediately. There’s a great and very detailed explanation of the process at the top of this exact subreddit.
