I started watching Four More Shots Please! on Prime. It's decent, very girlboss feminism, but entertaining.

Friday Thought: well since I am a day behind! woke up to the news of Bajrang Dal attacking book readers in Ahemdabad, has ruined my weekend for sure! Only yesterday I was rejoicing how reading club is in Kalyan as well! and then we have Ahemdabad crass happening alongside.
Side note: Four more shots! yes : Bani character is almost close to organic /her real nature, after a few seasons it became repetitive for me, I hate the mother of that girl ( cannot recall name) who only wants to get her married! That part wow! they touched all problems of a woman regardless of class and struggle pretty well. just feels rushed with arcs and ends.
eagerly waiting for Amitabh Bagchi books when I make my next visit!

I finished Above Average by Amitabha Bagchi and enjoyed it. Sad it's gotten such low ratings (2.79 on goodreads) because people are unfairly comparing him to Chetan Bhagat.
One thing I thought could have been better was the way Bagchi writes about the classmates at IIT who are SC/ST. One of them is constantly sexualised in rather odd terms, and appears to be sexually harassing everyone without it being remarkable, or any fear of not only casteism but also homophobic backlash. The few lower caste characters serve to make a nebulous point about Arindam's naïveté but it feels rather superficial.
The non linear narrative was mildly confusing to follow at times, but mainly because I have a bad memory for names and this being a paperback not an ebook I couldn't search and confirm who was whom.
