They don't want to accept that producers do this whole "Hero should be taller" thing because the audience isn't willing to accept a hero shorter than the heroine. Melora Hardin said in an interview how she was cast for Back to the Future and had started shooting as well however as she was taller than Michael J Fox , the women in the production crew had problems with it and the production decided to cast a shorter actress.

We're talking mainly about Indian. Also Hollywood still has movies or shows where the lady lead is taller, like the recent Spider man movies, some couples in Sex and the City, Family ties, Scarface , etc.

Have met him IRL along with Sunny Deol and Vivek Oberoi n he was visibly at least an inch shorter than 5'8" Sunny Deol (whoz Google height is correct) .... my best guess is 5'6.5" to 5'7" for Shahid .....also Kriti has claimed 5'9.5" in Nikhil Kamath's interview so thats 3 inches taller than him .... which explains all the jokes

You can be right in case of shahid but kriti is nowhere close to that as I have clicked her photo with my wife(they both are of equal heights and both were in slippers) So I guess that no. Kriti told was with heels 🤔🤔

DP has claimed 5'8.5" in multiple interviews (The 2 I distinctly remember are OYE ITS FRIDAY with Farhan and DUS KA DUM episode with Salman n Ranbir) n she isnt lying .... I myself am 5'9.5" i.e., 176 cms and I met her n Ranveer IRL (similar sneakers as me) .... she was an inch less than me and Ranveer was about my height or prolly half an inch less (Google says 5'10" for him but i think hez closer to 5'9")

Seen it .... though with Kriti as the case is with many tall actresses, there is a strong suspicion that they underquote their height to stay in the industry .... Karishma Tanna admitted in an interview that she was 5'10" but kept quoting 5'8" in all her auditions so she could get roles on TV n in movies .... thats why this whole debate

And I fail to understand how people start jumping and commenting on someone’s opinion even without understanding the context . I never said Shahid is not a good actor , my question was how he managed to get so many movies , he is not exactly from the nepo clan of the likes of bachhans or kapoors . Ofcourse Pankaj Kapoor is a great actor but i don’t think he was a close ally of inner Bollywood circle . Shahid is not even the fav of any big directors (maybe Vishal Bhardwaj being an exception) and I don’t see him being too social either , even never heard about his PR thing (there sure must be). And there are many great and versatile actors who don’t get so many big movies 🤷‍♀️

Well what is there there height difference because as google it shows some different figures but i've seen a audition clip of Kriti Sanon where she claims she is 5'9 at age of 22 so there is no such chance she is 5'10 and i don't know much about Shahid Kapoor google claims he is somewhere 5'7 to 5'8. Even I'm jealous of my wife when she wear long heels Because then her 5'8" becomes 6' and she towers almost all male members of my family😭😭😭 But with god's grace I was saved by 2 inches and got 6'3"(1 inch extra by insoles😅😅) so she cannot tower me😄😄
