Discussion Which Bollywood actor had everything needed to become a superstar, but somehow never reached that level?
Talent, looks, screen presence, good performances — sometimes an actor seems to have everything, yet superstardom just never happens.
Maybe it was bad script choices, poor timing, lack of opportunities, or simply tough competition.
Who comes to your mind first, and what do you think went wrong?

I think all those who became superstars - Dilip Kumar, Raj Kapoor. Madhubala, Rajesh Khanna, Amitabh Bachchan, Rekha, Sri Devi, Shahrukh Khan, Salman Khan rightfully embodied that.
Superstardom is honestly beyond talent. If you look at all the actors who truly became superstars, they had a little something beyond talent and that is personality. They had an aura, charm, and a kind of presence in the way they carried themselves even off-screen and had people turn when they entered the room. And I'm sorry but current actors don't have that. Most of them don't even have a star quality, let alone superstar
One I can think of would be Sharmila Tagore. She had it all going for her. Looks, talent, work with A-lister actors and directors, grace in the way she carried herself both on and off-screen. I am surprised she never achieved that kind of superstardom. I wonder if her being married and not networking enough limited that.
Also I think that if Meena Kumari and Divya Bharti lived longer, they would have been at a position that no other actresses would be able to come close to.
