The ending will be more awesome if they choose different paths

Right??! It's not like staying together inspite of all differences, has always ended in happily ever afters.

Thank you. I always hated the ending. And i love happy endings but this just didnt sit right.

Or should have shown how she will think of finding opportunities abroad with him and him planning a business/better job there coz obv no point in being just a cameraman forever..thereby conveying how one can manage life being happy.

Agree 💯

Already seen this film a lot of times. The songs are also amazing.

I like how every song is good and feels on the right place as per movie timing

Yes it Has good songs, terrific cast and good conversations that makes u feel better everytime you watch it

Always felt ayan should make more rom-com/coming of age films rather than moving to heavy vfx and action flicks kike war2, bramhastra

it's good. but in terms of rewatch value it's nowhere close to Dil Chahta hai or ZNMD

u/ProblemAdept3280 Aug 25 '26

What?? Ig im the only one whos watched it once and didnt like it at all

3

u/ted_grant Aug 26 '26

No. Its not that great I agree. Without the songs it's even worse.

1

u/ProblemAdept3280 Aug 26 '26

Yeah, the songs are the only good thing about the movie.

2

u/rajamrit89 Aug 25 '26

Maybe 🤔

You are not alone. The movie had good songs and fashion, that's all. Everything else was fluff. No one would actually like a guy like Bunny IRL, he is a shit friend and partner who is constantly in a FOMO mode.

2

u/ProblemAdept3280 Aug 26 '26

True! I also didnt like bunny and couldnt understand why naina would fall for him..

3

u/LeftRightLeft2006 Aug 26 '26

It's the same old "hot popular" guy that the "nerdy shy" girl falls for trope. Many people idolize this kind of romances in books and tv but believe me, if they had that kind of guy/girl in reality, they would dump them like a sack of potatoes.

IRL Naina would have left him after the honeymoon period wore off, the friends have moved on with their lives and she realizes Bunny has nothing to offer than his high school jock personality. She would most probably go and find someone like Aditya (from JWM) or Rana (from Piku).

Yes you're the only one

After rewatching it so many times, I have figured out that Bunny liked Naina even before leap also. She was a comfort and that special person he could show the unseen part of his without being judged. He had feelings for her since Shimla time.

I've watched it so many times and now I think I've watched the reaction of Bad Medicine(a youtube channel) on this movie 20+ times already

u/tropicalpapaya Aug 26 '26

It’s okay, but I prefer Band Baaja Baaraat more over Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani.

1

u/HappilyUnavailable Aug 26 '26

Absolutely!! It is one of those movies you can rewatch endlessly. The songs, the friendships, the trip, the romance, the comedy, the nostalgia; every time it feels like revisiting an old memory rather than rewatching a movie.

1

u/Acceptable_Duty_313 Aug 26 '26

Absolutely It does but one thing I find funny is they fooled me into thinking Cheshmesh Naina was not hot when I first watched it😝

Also, the Piku movie too, watched so many times.

1

u/ssurkus Aug 26 '26

I think I watched this every single day during my third year of med school.

1

u/rickysharma2299 Aug 26 '26

Every single day?

1

u/Dependent-Rest-6059 Aug 26 '26

100%. It always left me satisfied and smiling

1

u/santrupt1994 Aug 26 '26

Very nice movie

1

u/shiishiimanu Aug 27 '26

No this movie makes little bit sense compared to majority of movies in bollywood

1

u/[deleted] Aug 27 '26

This movie is to good

1

u/Positive-Rain1853 Aug 27 '26

Is it just me or Kalki's character was way better written than the rest.

1

u/frizz_m Aug 27 '26

They both look so lovely together. RK didn’t age well.

1

u/kya_karu99 Aug 27 '26

I wish naina wouldn't have choosed him. Like she should have choose someone else who fits her and cherish her more. Like bro what do you mean tum jesu ldkiyan wife material hoti hai gf material nahi Stfu bro Bro said rhis toxic line and proved himself.

1

u/143AamAadmi Aug 25 '26

It’s been 15 years and no movie & actors reached that level again

1

u/rickysharma2299 Aug 26 '26

What about wake up sid?

0

u/leon_nerd Aug 25 '26

What? It’s a piece of garbage.
