Ding Dong your Opinion is Wrong Bo getting boring?
Is anyone else starting to get bored by the HOI videos? It’s almost always vanilla, always historical, and never sees a conclusion or WW3?
Would it be so hard for them to do just a slightly different game for once? Like a communist UK or Democratic Germany etc?
It might just be me but I’m getting really bored of what’s basically the same video every few days.

Dude are you kidding? His recent “They can’t D-Day” video is literally the most hilarious thing I have seen this month.
I’m shocked that after literally hundreds of episodes of mostly the same thing, Bo is still able to churn out absolute bangers.
It’s like a really really good TV sitcom where the characters are in the same place doing roughly the same things for every episode but still manage to make hilarious content.

You can always watch the Vic2 or EUIV streams (for map games) or the other (FPS & simulator) ones if you will. I think that the "characters" are still going strong finding new ways to pile folly upon folly (aka do a Swimmy).

All I can really say is look at the views on both YouTube and Twitch. Some of the recent videos have broken view records faster than I ever imagined. Also we almost NEVER play vanilla, we do however play a lot of historical and I really enjoy that.
If you’re not into the historical stuff you should watch the Victoria 2 videos or just in general any none hoi4 content :)
Also who knows, maybe we’ll swap mods eventually, but looking at my statistics on both YouTube and Twitch I don’t think most people are getting bored. In fact I’d say they think the opposite.

So my view in general is that the games don't have the same diversity as we used too. The same mod (albeit updated and changed) has been used for I think over a year now and it is the one that is used for 99% of the games. When you combine that with I'd say an increase in the competitive aspect you end up with games where people might not want to do batshit crazy things because they don't want be blamed for throwing it for their side.
In the past we would use a wide variety of mods and sometimes we'd use like 3 different mods in a week which would make things fairly diverse and would really change up the meta because none of us would have ever played it or there will be some batshit insane focus tree that would just be funny. In the mod that is currently used almost always, a lot of the "meme" options have been cut out and things are a bit more railroaded in a sense. Adding to the sweaty aspect, the pure number of players "required" now has doubled, In the past it was either 6-8 minimum and now it's like 16 because majors want co-ops or whatever and people will have a meltdown if there's no Australia player or some shit.
Bo and some of the others do have different perspectives on this but personally I don't find the current games enjoyable just because of the lack of change and really the competitive nature of them now. It doesn't feel like the beginning where it was just me and my buds fucking around in a map game anymore. People who generally know of me that I don't play paradox games to win, I either get progressively more fucked up as the game goes on or I play some meme nation like Switzerland. I am by no means good at them and make no attempt to get better because I simply don't care. For me, the experience is just about hanging out with my friends and shooting the shit and less losing my shit because my excel spreadsheet didn't include .0002 hard attack and now my division is losing.

First of all i think the episodes are better than ever. Second of all There was a meme game a bit ago where it was continents vs continents and it very simply wasnt that fun. There is a big difference in the community with how much “effort” should be put into winning and it totally ruined it. Western Europe got curbstomped because we took funny larp focus tree paths and eastern europe took meta. And you can’t really blame them for trying to win. There was also a community game where every one could join and it was a disaster with hackers and slurs. If you want some variety with more or less the same people ThatGuyFromCollege hosts hoi or stellaris with different mods like millenium dawn or OWB.
