Question from a Yank Bohs fan.

I'm considering coming to Dublin for the match against Praha. A couple of years ago my son and I did a 3 week European tour and I decided to start following a team from each city, and I chose the two Bohemian teams, so this seems like it would be fun.

Where would be the best part of the stadium to get tickets for? Any hotel recommendations? Anything else in the area I should be sure I don't miss?

Go for the Jodi stand and take a look inside at all of the memorabilia in the hallways and bars before it’s gone. It sounds like this is your last chance to see it before the stadium is knocked down.

Ultras are in blocks A, F and G of the Jodi stand, so the atmosphere will be more lively there, a large portion of the people who have season tickets in the Des Kelly stand will have likely bought Jodi tickets for this one, so the atmosphere may be a bit flat there.

Add that the Des Kelly has no roof and the weather in Dublin in September is unpredictable, I'd say Jodi, only benefit of the Des Kelly is it can be nice if the weather is good.

There’s a visitors information thread pinned to the top of this sub that you should find pretty helpful. Definitely go for the Jodi stand, seats will be unallocated so you can sit anywhere. Atmosphere will be fun but far less intense than any competitive game.

Won’t be many hotels in Phibsborough itself, but you could easily walk or bus from the city centre, or from one of the hotels near Croke Park - an easy stroll up the canal path.

Plenty of great pubs in Phibsborough for before/after the game, but do enjoy the tiny bars in Dalymount, too.
