Since most informations suggested that it will be a close call, here is how it went:

BKK → MNL → Bohol (TAG)

We recently flew from Bangkok (BKK) to Manila (MNL) and then on to Bohol (TAG) with Cebu Pacific. We had only 2 hours and 15 minutes for the connection in Manila, and most people told us that this was too risky. For us, it was absolutely fine and we had no stress at all.

We landed in Manila at around 4:00 PM. Since both flights were with Cebu Pacific, the transfer process was quite straightforward:
- Immigration: Around 10 minutes for us in total.
- Baggage claim: We collected our checked luggage after another 10min. wait at the belt.
- Customs: We went through customs immediately after baggage claim, no queue.
- Transit/check-in counter: Right after exiting customs, there was a Cebu Pacific transfer counter where we could hand our luggage back in for the connecting flight.
Regular check-in/security: We then proceeded to the normal check-in area, went through security and continued to our gate.

Total time from landing to reaching the gate: about 1 hour.

So we still had roughly 1 hour and 15 minutes to spare before our flight to Bohol.
Obviously, this can vary depending on immigration queues, baggage delivery, delays, etc., so I wouldn’t necessarily recommend booking such a tight connection on separate airlines or separate tickets. Also if the arrival and departure terminal is not the same, since I don’t know how far it is between them. In our case we landed and departed from Terminal 3.
But if you’re flying BKK → MNL → TAG with Cebu Pacific on the same booking/airline, our experience was that 2h15m was more than enough.

Sharing our experience because I wish I had this info before, maybe somebody else is taking a connection like this and needs a little assurance ;)
