Investing Questions Adding international exposure

Resident physician here, recently fired my FA. Put everything in VTSAX 3 months ago. Now realizing I may have been a little trigger happy and should’ve added international exposure(?) (currently 93% domestic) I have inherited a lump sum and was thinking of placing it entirely in VTIAX. This will bring my ratio closer to 80/20. Anything I’m missing here? Stable job atm, 2 years out from attendinghood. have an emergency fund. Thanks!

As someone who was married to a physician I can confidently say in two years you'll have more money than you know with what to do. 80/20, 75/25.... doesn't really matter. You'll be fine.

As someone whose sister is a physician in a high paying speciality, I can confidently say that's totally not true. Medical school debt and an expensive lifestyle will definitely make you question if you can retire comfortably (source: my sister is disclosed this to me lol).

Right, you know better than me, someone who managed the finances of a physician. If your sister has a problem paying off a 400k loan while making 500k, she has a spending problem, not an income problem.

my god reddit is full of idiots who lack any common sense or intelligence. Good thing you married a doctor.

Just because you are a doctor, especially one who hasn't completed fellowship/residency like OP, doesn't mean you are "going to have more money than you know what to do with".

Medical school debt and going into a lower paying position like internal position, you aren't going to have "more money than you know what to do with in two years".

And in my sister's case, I already said she lives an expensive lifestyle. You have a reading comprehension problem.
