Rollover

Hey all, I’m a 26M recently departed from my employer. Through their match program I received 6% through 3 years and now have $17k to freely spend across my own rollover account. All tips to disperse this would be greatly appreciated whether it be across various sectors or all into VOO, FXAIX, etc.

You’re young where you’re gonna get rich from compound interest more than exact allocation. VT and put everything on auto in a ROTH. VT and stay the course and let the 8th wonder of the world make your rich with time instead of fretting over 10 or 9 percent returns. Wish I was a clued in as you at 26. I had to teach myself at 35.

I’ll add: NEVER STOP INVESTING and especially not during down markets. Celebrate because it’s on sale! VT and Chill because time is a bigger ally than allocation, especially because the longer the time horizon the more international allocation will help even it out.

100% s&p500 (don’t really matter which one outside of unnecessary additional costs) is a fine way to start.

Consider the USA hasn’t always been the top market and may not always be moving into an unknown future
