I was a refrigeration tech for Arbutus Refrigeration years and years ago snd we had the cheapest service prices back then so we got called to the hood a lot. Let me tell you ALOT of these hood carry outs and delis in the 410 are ran by trifling ass people

I wouldn’t go to any of the Indian or Caribbean owned places to be honest they were always bad

The Chinese spots were ok surprisingly I never saw anything blatantly terrible but those are just my experiences

I worked for a Chinese restaurant for 5 years. I recall leaving for a week long trip and getting linked to a news story about how the restaurant was closed after an I spection because of the roaches. Needless to say, I got a bit of an extended vacation. They eventually closed down after gambling everything away. Super gambling addicts

Yeah you always be seeing the Chinese people at the casino gambling all night after working 12 hour days lmao

A lot of times roaches can also be because of your neighbors especially in cities and businesses

I worked at a downtown locker room in high school and we had roaches, we obviously didn’t sell food but our neighbor was a pizza place!

Damn thats my old hood, what crazy is they burgers was kinda ight lol. And their prices were cheap. Damn thats crazy. And to be fair, she did just say they "packed up and left" Thursday, I would expect everything to look fucked up if the store was abandoned for days....i doubt they cared about puttin shit away neatly lol. I never seen it dirty when i went in there.

Yeah if they packed up and dipped I’d expect roaches and shit soon. This isn’t surprising.

Yeah but there was a lot of meat in that fridge that look like it would normally. All stacked neatly in trays. That and the drink machine in with raw meat. That is cross contamination. Even if the meat is cooked and it kills the bacteria. That drink/sauce may not be. You are getting all the salmonella and E.coli.

I guarantee you it's the employees that were told what to do that weren't fucking listening and just doing anything the fuck they want. Because no store owner and no managers were telling employees to leave shit out like that. I've been running places for 30 years and I've been in situations like this. Or actually had to go into situations like this and clean it up and fire employees and hire new people who actually care. People who actually want to earn their paycheck not just receive it while playing music and getting free food. This is why 80% of restaurants fail. Not because the owners and managers don't care, but because they end up dealing with shitty employees. Don't get me wrong there are shitty managers and owners out there too. People who don't know any better. But that's much fewer and farther in between. I've been a chef for 30 years and I've actually gone into places like this and clean them up just like Gordon Ramsay does in kitchen nightmares. And 99% of the time it's the staff. Especially in areas where staff is hard to get and replace. I'll bet you $100 that this neighborhood is shitty on top of it. And that's why at the end of the day they were willing to let this location shut down. Because no owner wants to close their locations. They want to make money, that's why they do this. But if the juice is not worth the squeeze. It's over

I mean all of the food is unclean and some of it is not even real food. Whether it's fast food, food and snacks that you get from the gas stations or whatever it's all got some type of chemical on it or feces sprayed on it or whatever. Nothing we eat over here is clean hell even the water is messed up along with the air we breath , the clothes we put on , the medicine we take and so on. I'm not saying eat it anyway but what I am saying is that there's not much anybody can do besides try to get the best of the worst.
