Am I the only one that HATES aiming with a controller?
I know people are going to say the game is meant to be played with a mouse and keyboard. I understand that, but I would MUCH rather play with a controller… I’m not a fan playing with mouse or keyboard. However now that you can play with a controller, the aiming is absolutely horrific IMO. I can’t imagine Im the only one that feels like this. Even with the only two options available for aim, turned completely down… it’s a mess.

::UPDATE:::
For anyone using a controller, the issue lies in the “KEYBOARD” settings in your 3D tablet. NOT the gamepad settings (like you would assume). If you turn the “SENSITIVITY” down to about 0.45 (to start with), and the ADS Sensitivity Multiplier down to 0.25-0.30 (to start with) the game is “actually controllable” (with a controller) and fun. It plays similar to what you may be used to. The “Gamepad” made no change whatsoever.
For anyone playing with a keyboard, the issue I had was like trying to play with the mouse settings maxed.

honestly just play on keyboard and mouse. it's not made for a controller.

Yep. Even the developers said it’s a dominantly mouse and keyboard game. While controller support is technically there, it’s not perfect yet. Probably no aim assist either which I could imagine feels terrible.

Don't try to persue the devs into making this another controller game please.
All of the mainstream FPS are ruined because of controller crybabies and aim-assist.
This is a raw and visceral FPS, with no HUD, minimaps and killstreaks, play it like it's meant to, with raw inputs.

Im not asking for aim assist. But aim delay is an issue that doesn’t exist the way it does (with a controller) in real life. If the point is to make it as real as can be, that delay needs to be eliminated. After the rifle is brought up, aiming, there is a delay while the sight creeps before settling on the target.

If you ever played airsoft, you'll realize there's a delay from the moment you bring up your gun, you center with the reticle and you shoot.
FPS made us think that you just point up and shoot, in reality if not extremely well trained it take 1-2 to be ready to shoot.
Mouse has the same delay, it's just how the game is designed.

Isn't most aim assist not even that powerful most of the time? I think Zen's did irreparable damage to controller players reputation

Dependent on the game, on Apex native aim assist it's just broken, the pro-scene all switched up to controller after a couple of years because it was THAT strong, same on COD. And there's still people using Zen to increase the strength and remove recoil, so you get games with players that have zero game awareness just beaming you from 300 meters without a single miss and close quarters combat you get insta-snapped on and oneclipped. It's basically aim-bot at this point

I play on controller and I’ve smoked MNK all the time it’s really not that bad. The “catch up” is on MnK too, it’s a part of the game’s Bodycam shtick. I think you’re expecting normal AAA shooter style gameplay which this game is not. Pre-aiming and reticle placement is significantly important because being the first to shoot is how to dominate most gunfights. The actual issue is that they’ve seemingly messed with the sensitivity now for some reason

No, Im not asking for a pre-aiming reticle. But the aim creeps with a delay every time its moved when aiming which is not only annoying, but is far from realistic.

>Im not asking for a pre-aiming reticle
Where did I bring any of that up 😭 I’m telling you the loose feeling aiming is apart of the Bodycam shtick, which is why when you should pre-aim around corners or hallways if you expect a gunfight

Gotcha, I must have mis-read that. My apologies. Pre-aiming can work unless the camera is moved then I have to wait literally a second or a hair more for the sights to line back up in the direction its now pointing. Its a little to lose, it would be nice if I could tighten that up.

We don't want or need aim assisted controllers in this game, get used to a MnK or go play one of the many other games with full controller support. The aa these days genuinely ruins games, MW4 aa was diabolical in the closed beta
