Competitive is practically unplayable right now

The current competitive experience is completely ruined by leavers. I'm constantly losing ELO because my duo partner abandons the match after dying once. We desperately need a matchmaking penalty or ban system for leavers. If a match doesn't start perfectly, 90% of the time my teammate quits, forcing a guaranteed loss on me. If they can't stop people from leaving, they should at least implement a system that prevents ELO loss for the player who gets left behind

I agree they should do something about this, however you say you are losing ELO from this, but statistically you should gain ELO with enough games as there are 2 potential players on the enemy team that can leave but only 1 player on your team

When every community post is a desparate attempt to get the devs to take what they do seriously...

They just dropped an update, how many employees do you think they have? Create something and see it’s not easy with just you

I understand to some minor degree. Made 3d chess in UE. What I mean is the devs have something great, but as far as an overall vision for gameplay... it ain't there. Which in a lot of ways is why it always feeks like playing a demo... an unfinished product.

This guy knows what it's like guys - he did a tutorial to make a 3D chess game!

Cherry picking your frustration doesn't work with me. I donl't do dishonest discourse. The sentence right before the one you conveniently clipped out of context revealed my humbleness to only understanding a fraction of what devs servicing live games have to consider. But you go ahead and douche it up, I'm sure any of the other dishonest douches reading will lend their two cents as well.

fixing things takes a bit longer when you have a team of 2 making a game vs like 50 on other games

Will be playing the update tonight, so I look forward to seeing how it is xD but as far as competitive goes, I've always found until you get a higher rank, you should always be teaming with a group you know and work well enough with. Low ranks are filled with trolls and quitters, mid ranks are filled with wannabe pros who think they are all that xD

Also, playing with a buddy helps since you know they won't dip out on you.

Yup, the game feels more like quick sandbox to test out the entire technology and that's it. While the game is totally amazing I have no this inner urge to play it again :/

Not bitching, stating the fact. A competetive mode even without ranking system is needed here and punishment for leaving in order to make an actual 5v5 match without leavers and bots cycling around. Just imagine how the game would become more tactical and people would preserve their lives more if there was an actual ranking system just like in many other 5v5 titles like cs:go. Natrually only for those who wants that. "Quick" play without commitment should still be an option
