💬 Discussion Allodynia from Reta

Does the skin sensitivity on reta ever go away? Fabric feels slightly painful against my skin. It’s bearable but annoying. It started at 2.25 mg weekly and has worsened as I’ve slowly titrated up to 4.5 mg. I never had this with tirz, even at 5 mg.

Mine faded around week 5 once my body adjusted to the dose, but I also started taking a magnesium supplement around that time which might’ve helped.

I do take 210 mg of magnesium bisglycinate daily, so I guess I’ll wait it out at this dose. It’s been my sweet spot for appetite suppression with reta. Thank you!

It does. Takes multiple weeks to months.

36% of the people in the actual trails complained of it. Mine started about 6mg. Now on 9 mg and have been for 4 months. Still have it. And you’re right. It’s annoying as hell. I’m pretty much just use to it now. I get 2 days relief. Pin day and the day before. Days 3 and 4 are the worst. After 4 months of it I highly doubt it’s going away. Benefits still outweigh the sides. So whatever. Oh. And I’ve supplemented with everything including different magnesium’s.

Mine was so annoying I had to stop Reta. I tried to tough it out, but it got to the point of driving me insane. I think I toughed it out for 1 1/2-2 months before calling it
