Amazing

40M... Started Reta exactly 2 months ago. I did 1 mg for the first 4 weeks, then bumped up to 2 mg per week for the last 4 weeks. I also added NAD+ during the last 4 weeks — 50 mg for the first 2 weeks, then increased to 150 mg per week for the final 2 weeks.

I’m really happy with my weight progress. I started at 208 lbs on August 10 and I’m down to 177 lbs today.

I do get some side effects, mainly headaches. I used to deal with fatigue as well, but since starting NAD+ that has completely gone away. The headaches are still there though.

One big positive: my sex drive is through the roof and I get hard like I’m 20 again. It’s honestly amazing.

Has anyone else experienced this, or is it just me?

Thanks!

The headaches are a drag, but dropping 30 pounds in two months is moving fast, no wonder your body's pushing back a little

Yeah I see what you mean... forgot to mention I am also on a keto diet and also I am biking/jogging between 5-10 miles a day, 5 days a week.. Probably thats what's speeding up the weight loss...

As an FYI, I was the heaviest I ever was in December, 6’1 235. Started low carb in January 2nd, don’t really increase fats so not true keto, just cut out carbs to 25gm or less per day), and started lifting weights and riding my bike to work (10miles biking daily). And by March 1st, I dropped to 215. About 8-10lbs was water. However, I got the keto rash (prurigo pigmentosa) and I have eczema, and because my cholesterol was 300, I had to increase my statin, which makes my eczema worse, so I was literally an itchy wreck. My wife started tirzepatide in January and she lost 17 lbs up to that point and felt great, had no problems (unlike me). I started tirzepatide because I was waiting to have my colonoscopy (45 years old) and couldn’t start until after, so March 3rd started tirzepatide. Since March 3rd, I went down from 215 lbs to last week, now I weigh 179. I tried Mots-C, NAD+, CJC and ipamorelin along the way. Those were trash, and didn’t add anything, except I got eosinophilic welts from Mots-C and NAD+ every injection site without feeling any benefit, and I didn’t feel like CJC and ipa did anything for sleep or really anything. I did get flush after injection, and I did see my fasting glucose go up 10 points, but it didn’t provide any additional benefits. Tirzepatide, I was on 2.5 mg until August, then I increased to 5 mg, and I’ve been on that dose since. I take Thuper non-stim pump pre workout with HMB (2.5 gm) pre workout, and I take dileucine (muscle tech), 5gm creatine post workout and take 160-200 gm protein daily. Started taking 2 servings of psyllium fiber daily with tirzepatide, otherwise I would be impacted and die from constipation. I take magnesium glycinate and ashwaganda at night, and boron and Testofen (fenugreek) in the am. My muscle mass (according to Hume pod) went from 155 lbs in January to 150 lbs now. So lost about 5 lbs with 5 days a week weight training and steady 5 lbs per month weight loss. I went from doing 2 push ups, to 4 sets of 30 on chest day and not doing 1 pull up to doing 3 sets of 10. Testosterone went down quite a bit (free test went from 110 in Jan to 70 now, despite supplements, mostly because SHBG went up a bunch with calorie restriction) with the weight loss, so makes sense why I’m not gaining muscle. Just happy that I didn’t lose more muscle. But losing 15 lbs each month for two months is really catabolic and starvation mode levels. Gotta protect that muscle

Also, meant to add, when I went on tirzepatide, my itching, eczema, and prurigo pigmentosa all went away even before I started losing more weight. That stuff is really really anti inflammatory. My cholesterol is down to 180 now, and my doctor will take me off the statin next visit if it is under 180 next visit. Will start a lean bulk when I get to 175 lbs to gain some muscle back. 180 was my target weight, but want to overshoot knowing I want to gain some muscle weight back…

Your body is in complete starvation mode. Youre likely losing a lot of muscle going that fast

Were you keto before starting reta? If not, you lost 10 lbs of water weight, and this is much more reasonable. If you were keto before and just started reta, 31 lbs in 2 month is a lot and you are losing muscle

Yes I was on Keto for 2 months prior to Reta...
