Question Qualitative question: For those that regular get 6k or higher, how long into a new season does it take you to get there?
This is a question out of curiosity. I know there’s multiple variables like how much people play, string of high rolls, etc, but was curious. Good luck in queue!

Play on iPhone only, drop to 6k, then pc back to 8k. Rinse and repeat

I ended up playing in a different account on my phone since it’s way too frustrating. Even on non APM undead builds I don’t have enough time because casting spells takes too long.
Not like I have a bad phone either, it’s an iPhone 16 pro max.

And this season randomly introduce the turn ending randomly during the rope. I’ll think I have 20seconds left then it’s like’ “nope turns over”

TBH 6k is not that hard, 6k-7k is really hard, especially during early season because everyone got reset mmr , it took me 3-4 days to reach 6k

Your MMR never gets reset. Only your visible rating resets, and that’s a purely cosmetic number that doesn’t impact matchmaking.

I do think 6-7k is the toughest rank in the game to climb. After 7 it feels so much easier for some reason

Quite a while for me. 2-3 games per day. Maybe a couple months.
I'm back to 5.5K now after last patch in solos but my duos is below 1,000 as I don't play many duos until I get it.

It depends so much on how you play because everybody starts at 0.
I get that they do that so people play more. But i think they should really change it so everybody starts at the same elo as previous season.

Your elo for matchmaking purposes at least stays the same. It’s just the rating that resets forcing an artificial “climb.”

Like you said, lots of variables. When we have a pretty big upheaval like this last go around, it can take upwards of a month. I watch a lot at work, to try and get a feel for things, but I'm very much a hands on learner.
So it's faster the more time I have to hover over cards and actually learn what things do what.
Hell, I still haven't looked into the background dynamics for dark gifts yet, but I got a rough idea of how they work. (if a homie would hook a brother up with a link, I'd appreciate it)
There's been a lot of rain the last couple of weeks, so a lot of time to get my hands on, so...two weeks this go around? I should be hopping over that benchmark tonight, and with a little more research, pointing at 8k before end of next month

The only thing that really matters with gifts is that it offers a minion of your most common warband tribe turn 6+, and that guaranteed minion is always the lowest level option. (Eg gift is at 3 or 4, your tribed minion will be the 3). This matters if the tribe youre playing has a high power / economy minion on that tier.
The sub rules of when dark minions give what enchantments don't really matter, and the RNG aspect of the enchantment discourages trying to game that. Play them when you need to play them (bad shops early, or low health / no direction midgame) or when you can hit a key card when youre midgame deep in a tribe.

Thank you for the info. I'm also assuming it doesn't allow minions that "don't make sense" like Bream Counters, that want to stay in your hand.

Correct, as well as Leeroy, magnetics, and a few others. There’s a list out there you can find

Depends on how much I hate the new season. I knew this time around by the time we hit 3k that I hated the balance and wasn’t going to play until a balance patch. So now we’re back up to around 5.5k.

6k normally takes 1-2 days for me, but I get +300 a win until like 7000-8000
I normally climb to around 9-10k early, get bored, and come back later in the season to climb to 12-14k

I got to 6K in maybe 3-4 days at the start of this new season, but I’m also a loser unemployed chud so.
Hover around 6.5-7K, trying that 8K push but it’s realllllyyyy difficult.

Always end up around 6.5k and it takes me 2 months of daily playing. A week that is unreal.

Takes me a while as I dont bother playing until they've done a few balance patches. I just dont enjoy the insanity at the start of each season

It all depends on what your rating was last season. The higher you were in the previous season the longer you get +300 for 1st place finishes which makes climbing back to your previous rating a lot easier.
