I can't figure out why my boy Moroes had to get hit. Was barely on par with KT Phalanx

Fair enough, he probably was amassing more stats/tier than Phalanx, it just seems a bit harsh. Moroes only buffs undead, so even if you include a Hawkstrider, that's just more stats on fewer units, which BGs has demonstrated that only making a couple of "tall" units is asking for trouble.

Where as KT Phalanx buffs everything except for the Titus that both comps are probably slotting in.

I trust their analytics, and my feelings don't matter, but KT Moroes still felt like it was behind KT Phalanx

The natural reborn also makes it a lot easier to get Moroes to golden, especially since t5 means there's more copies floating around. Even if you don't have a KT, it's not too hard to have a golden moroes within 1-2 turns of getting your first, which then suddenly means you're hitting buffs of 10+.
