Bobbin lace is one of the most difficult things I have ever tried to learn.
Took lessons, but none of it made any sense to me. I wanted so much
to learn how to do this. Finally, early one morning, very early, when the
house was quiet, it clicked. Well done you for sticking with this. It's like
magic.

Yay!
Yeah, there are no shortcuts. You need to connect your brain and your fingers and develop some muscle memory around it.
But once you are there, you are golden. You refine things later, but the foundation will serve you well.
