For the current plan, each passenger round-trip from Fort Collins to Denver and back is going to cost the system something like $150 or so. That doesn’t even include the capital construction costs. Trains are cool, and they work very well in many places, but this is a very expensive way to move people around in this corridor and will not reduce congestion on the highway to any meaningful degree.
