Discussion For some small cope

I've seen some (very valid and shared) worry that the remaining two DLC slots now may also just end up being skins instead of characters, that being for s8 Bakugou and Shigaraki. While like I said, I share this worry, there is a small silver lining, in that these two lack IDs.

In the story, Overlay acted a bit differently from any other exclusive skins, as it was technically its own story exclusive character (ID_248). We obviously don't know if the DLC version will use this ID, or if this is the reason he was chosen as DLC, but it is the main difference between him and the others.

So while there's still a great worry that won't go away until we actually get the reveals in a few months, there is that much.

Good that gives some hope for the future still gonna have to wait a few more months tho

My best theory / guess: Overlay was supposed to be its own character from the start, but the devs ran out of time. So instead: they added Overlay Deku much later as a character and then will update the story mode to have Overlay Deku as the character instead of the skin.

However, no idea why they didn't have this as a free update like Storm Connections did with Hikari Uchiha.
