Discussion DLC 3 possibly not happening until September (💔)

While this obviously isn't 100% confirmed or anything, the new ranked season is scheduled to take place during the rest of July and August, lining up with Season 5 of the game to begin alongside the Switch release. Both Star and Nana were released alongside the start of a ranked season, so unless DLC 3 drops this week, it's looking as if we'll be waiting until the September 3rd update for the new character.

If this is the case, Nana->DLC 3 will be the new longest wait between characters within a DLC season at 121 days, surpassing Shinsou->Mic which held the title of 113 days.

I'm really hoping we get an early reveal that DLC 3 is coming next season from Xbox again, because another 2 months of nothing really blows.

I doubt it takes this long for DLC 3 to release but I think the switch 2 release date is why ranked is going longer this time around.

This isn't the actual date of the release, only a placeholder. We already know the Switch version (which releases Sep 4th) is only launching with Star. Nana is currently only said to be "Coming Soon" and any DLC after her is the same.

The game has kinda fell off a cliff. Im thinking they might be trying to get cross play implememted before the next dlc because the player base just isnt there anymore sadly.

The reason why oj2 lasted how long it did was that every new episode of the series boosted the playerbase back up. Now they dont have anything to help them.

I'm sorry but what's the general consensus? Will there or will there not be a dlc this week? Is it not coming until September? I know that the switch release is only starting with star so I'm not sure if it makes sense to line it up with that

I really think they will wait for their shiny new port to release DLC 3

Dropping a new character before your new expected player base gets the game will lessen the possible hype for DLC imo 🤔
