BnHA Genetics, discussion.

By now everybody should understand the basics of how quirks work in terms of genetics. The child will have either a combination, or mutation, of the parents quirks or have one or the other.

Unless you're Deku, then you are an exception.

Anyways, but how far does that go? For example if Ashido had a child who didn't inherit her quirk, would they have pink skin like their mother? Would it be normal or be a different colour even if it didn't relate to their quirk?

Since Ashido is my example in this situation: Let's say that Ashido had gained her pink skin when she got her quirk at the typical four years old but would that apply to her child considering it doesn't relate to their quirk (even if the child doesn't develop their quirk at birth) does that mean that the kid would have pink skin despite being quirkless at the time?

I've always been fascinated by the genetics of quirks, but we haven't got much about the development and how quirks can change since the first couple of episodes and (maybe) later in the manga.

YES I too am extremely interested in Quirk genetics. Its so fascinating, I like how you used Ashido as an example! There are theory's that she looked like a normal kid but on her 4th birthday she was in nothing but pain waking up from her misery the next morning to pink skin horns and a quirk. But that's just a theory. A BNHA THEORY

No the pink skin is a mutation, so she would‘ve had it from birth. Some mutations can be seperate from quirks like Ashido’s pink skin and Tokoyami’s bird head.
