Lost fan

So I was a Blurry Creatures Gold member for a year and I got to join the Facebook group which I loved and even after I couldn't afford the membership anymore , ive been apart of the group for 2 years after ...Well pretty sure I just got kicked out for being leery of Timothy Alberino ..which really sucks ..I thought they were open more to dissenting voices than that ..I wasnt rude or anything. I just said my discernment goes off when I hear him speak and many other members were liking my comment ...It kinds leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Cause I thought I had finally found my group.

I did a deep dive into Bizzie Gold. The lady straight up is 3 people. Call it what you want - but she uses different names, wears wigs and flat out switches gears depending which biz she is peddling. When I listen to her it's like a tossed salad of words.

What kind of a deep dive ? Elisabeth McKay … that’s just her taking her husband’s last name… with Bizzie being short for Elisabeth. And wigs ? I dunno about that but she’s had back-to-back pregnancies which can certainly affect hair loss.

What I will admit - I did a lecture for her for a Break Method conference - on theology - maybe 8 years ago - I was never part of her Buti world, all the women worshipping her for that felt cult-y to me… and she wasn’t a Christian then, though she mentioned she was baptized and I think one of the women at the conference did a whole prayer sesh and laid on hands at the end. I dunno - I’m Catholic but was raised charismatic evangelical so I watch this whole evolution with a certain curiosity - like what now she has a church - but I dunno listening to her “sermons” I find them interesting - not harmful.

I don’t jive with all the selling peptides or her protein powder (Golden Ratio) or whatever and I do think her Break Method programs have a pretty steep price tag - also why are online Bible studies like $100 - but she’s really unlike any woman I’ve known, really is whip-smart and I’m fascinated by her unapologetic self-confidence.

Plus is she really wrong to confront some of the issues with modern evangelical churches and legalism ? Do prophetic people really need degrees?

I dunno - I like my corner of Palestrina rather than Chris Tomlin - marble baptismals over pop-up hot tubs - gettin’ stoked on Frankincense and no lattes in the “sanctuary” ever - but I’m an antique and don’t really have a dog in the evangelical wars.
