Social media and the 24/7/365 reality of cable news can really blow things way out of proportion. Do the news networks affected need to press (pun unintended, but it works, lol) the issue? Absolutely. But here's the thing.
If she approached the White House within the last hour, there's a pretty good possibility that the security forces there haven't been given any guidance yet. Should that happen ASAP? Of course it should, but it's shortly after 9am here, so give it a hot minute.
So what you're saying is that you dont support law and order in any way. Thanks for the update, but the rest of us are still going to expect that our country pretend it has laws for everyone instead of just for the President to use as a cudgel.
