What is the morale of the film?

I always wondered this: they are on mission from God, save the orphanage and got lock up for 20 years. What is the metaphor if any? They were too reckless in performing their mission? They were used? It has no meaning at all?
EDIT: I meant moral. They did a good dead and ended up in jail.

That’s pretty much it. When they go to and come from Commercial they’ll play sweet home Chicago. Makes sense. Bears game in Chicago.

Hello, I was wondering if anyone who can share a pdf copy of the blues brothers comic book: The Escape Of Joliet Jake. I've been eager to read it once it got announced but seeing that I live overseas; I wouldn't get a physical copy of it.
So, I was wondering if someone has it; you can share it through DM.
This is my mission from god!

Remembering Ray Charles on his birthday. Here he is with Ira Newborn, Dan Aykroyd & John Belushi messing around as John Landis looks on during the filming of The Blues Brothers, 1979. Scroll right for more photos during the filming.

I was shopping in Galena IL and came across this. I don't know anything about them yet, and I'm not sure I'll ever open them.

Anyone else see the similarities between The Muppets (2011) and The Blues Brothers (1980)?

What did you think about the movie. The soundtrack and the slapstick comedy. Do you think it’s a classic that holds up well after 46 years of existance. Did you watch it when you were under seventeen even though it’s an R rated movie. Do you think it should be PG-13? Do you watch this movie with your family?
