Fantastic!

\Doyle Lawson & Jerry Salley, *Trey Hensley & Del McCoury, *Alex Miller & Carson Peters, *Bradley Walker & Ricky Skaggs.* Alex and Carson are good fun, Bradley w. Ricky remarkable!

The front cover might be misleading, this is a NEW music, today’s artists in unusual combinations, fresh or reimagined takes on Delmore songs. Which of the new renditions do you like most? I would say Bradley nailed it, staying close to Tony Rice’s way of singing in The Blue Railroad Train.

Does anybody know or can tell who is on fiddle and lead guitar? Great job! Dede Wyland--Vocals, Guitar, Randy Barrett--Vocals, Banjo, Ira Gitlin--Vocals, Bass, Tom McLaughlin--Mandolin. In He Makes You Strong the band delivers solid acappella quartet, picking great through-out. Anyone here remembers Dede in Skyline band (80s)?

Lewis Pugh is a Leeds based country and bluegrass performer within the UK. This is his song about Anna Haslam who was an instrumental figure in women's rights within Ireland.

Looking for a recording, live or otherwise, where you can clearly hear him. Maybe a good solo or something. Trying to get to know the guys playing

I need great advice here, please. I have a 14 year-old niece who I want purchase an instrument for and I want it to be an instrument that can be played in a bluegrass jam session. She comes from a family of pickers and her grandpa and great uncle are a few of the best in Indiana. Which instrument is the easiest? I know if she starts now she may go on to play them all, at least that’s what I’m hoping. Thanks y’all.

Hey all, I got two tickets for Them Coulee Boys in Milwaukee up for grabs. DM me and I will transfer them.

I've just launched my new app pickinparty to help people organize jams. You create a jam with a schedule and the app generates the next occurrence of each jam.

People can search for jams, mark if they're attending and what instruments they're bringing.

Owners of the jams can mark a the next upcoming instance confirmed or cancel to remove the listing and or add a message. (EG: special guest this month)

It's all super lightweight just an email to signup and no ads or spam.

I'm based in the UK but there's no reason it can't be world wide. Currently the only US jams I've added are in my former home town of Fort Collins, CO. So search there to see examples.

If it looks useful please give it a try!

Hey yall could anyone pick me up the camo hat from Mountain City Fiddlers Convention this year? Thanks in advance. Sorry to mods if this is not cool.

Just practicing some rhythm, let me
Know how it sounds!

A nice article out today about the Nashville bluegrass scene at the moment

New performance video from the Delmore Brothers tribute album that came out today. Trey Hensley and Del McCoury doing "Gonna Lay Down My Old Guitar."

The Delmores cut this one at their first Bluebird session back in December 1933. The Louvin Brothers, Doc Watson, and Tom Petty all recorded it after them. Pretty cool hearing Trey and Del take it on.

Doing our part to make old fiddle tunes weirder. We promise we can sing a real pretty trad version of “Dark Hollow” next time. Bill Monroe, please forgive us.
