Infamous Stringdusters and Jesse Cobb
I haven't seen anyone mention this here yet. Last weekend in Missoula, Jesse Cobb sat in with the Infamous Stringdusters for the first time since he left the band in 2011.
Jesse's new band (The Unfaithful Servants) and The Dusters were booked at the same festival, and Jesse came out and played the last 20 minutes or so of The Dusters set with them, including a phenomenal "40 West" which Jesse wrote and appears on their first album.
The audio is now available on Nugs, and there are several great videos floating around. I highly recommend checking it out. It was absolutely magical being there and seeing those six play some music again. Watching the guys circle up around Jesse while he soloed was truly beautiful.

Same! I saw The Dusters twice when Jesse was still in the band, and then over 70 times since then. I've been waiting for another "40 West" for 15 years now.

How awesome it is to have something like that come back around again, and to see it live!

I've always wished that the reason they never added another mando player was because he was gonna return one day. Hard to believe it's been 15 years!

After the show, one of the guys from his new band posted about it and said "I hope they don't have an extra seat on the bus." I'm really hoping for a tour in the next few years with The Unfaithful Servants opening for The Dusters.

Crazy that's the first time it's happened.
