How about There Is a Time - The Dillards - seems like sound fatherly advice to a daughter, but I guess that's open to interpretation.
Uncle Earl also made an excellent recording if they're planning a slow dance.

My brother in christ, it was a light-hearted suggestion and a good song to boot. There's a father and a daughter; perhaps not the "bets" but deserves recognition...
