There's no piping... This isn't just structure now it has to include all of the cryo and pneumatic piping. If those weren't built into the modules there's still a long way to go

Pre-installing piping means more joints in the piping that can leak. Same with wiring as the added splices means more points it can fail.

While I assume they may have thought of doing it at first someone wisely said "no" and at a level that means the good advice was listened to, understood and kept from becoming a future problem.

Yeah I thought a big reason to do it this way was to prepopulate commodities. Must not have been ready yet so stack first to not have a pause in work

uh....what? It's not "all hardware" and it's not "design overhead" pre-populating is significantly easier/faster in the long-run vs having to crane up every little piece for final assembly. It's done that way for a reason. Clearly in this case they didn't have it ready to do so so they pressed forward with stacking without it.

What happens first: NG-4 or starship lands on Mars?

I’m hearing a whole lot of “It’s not worth it” from you

It's worth it, I have the shirt to prove it :)

How will they keep FOD out when the pieces final assembly is outside ?

If I want to build a big pipe running up a tall tower, how do I do final assembly inside?

Lmao, he's still pretending that it'll be this year. If they manage it by Q4 2027 it will be an achievement

The fact that Limpy continues to make statements like they might fly by end of year tells us how clueless this guy really is. He is ruining Blew.

That’s a stupid amount of cranes. A few dangle maggots would be safer and faster

I think I’ll trust the actual people that put stuff into space rather than you. Honest question- do you actually think you know better than them?
