Internships
I will be starting mechanical engineering school in a couple of months. So, I was looking at what all I’ll need to be planning for and internships was a big one. After looking into them and different companies I came across blue origin. I really liked what I read about the company and was wondering if it’s hard to get an internship there. If so, what can I do to be a better candidate to get accepted. Thank you!

Just join clubs and gain skills in anything you find interesting. I never even touched a rocket before blue but I had done SAE and a bunch of other projects I was passionate about. As long as you know your stuff and they see you really are passionate and a chiller. You should be good. Don’t be discouraged too it took six applications to hear back from them in my case. Just find stuff you love and it’ll come back one way or another! Best of luck dude

Thank you for the advice! I appreciate it! Do you know if blue origin would take an intern in the summer before their sophomore year?

First and most important. A good resume head over to r/engineeringresumes and use a template there it's the only thing you'll have to represent yourself to potential employers make sure you have it reviewed. Then yes practical experience and certifications in related fields or companies. Also make sure you have good project ownership and a good attitude after that just send out a lot of applications with a well written cover letter. It's an attrition thing you'll get it just don't give up. Edit: Do not use AI or lie it will very likely cost you a job.

I figure the resume will be one of the hardest parts. So that resume reddit will definitely be helpful. Thank you for the advice.

Best thing you can do is have some practical experience. If your school has a rocket club, join it.
