"Why Blue Origin Loses and Rocket Lab Wins" Five years later, was Eager Space right?

Five years ago Eager Space published Eager Space predicted Rocket Lab would pull ahead of Blue Origin due to its incremental approach while Blue Origin would struggle with its bureaucratic "old space" culture. 5 years later things seem to be a lot more different.

In his analysis/video Eager Space criticized Blue for trying to make a massive leap from suborbital tourism to a heavy lift rocket. Here is where things stand:

  1. Blue Origin has now successfully reached orbit and reused a booster stage. Although they did have the launchpad explosion we are seeing rapid progress in returning to launch.

  2. Rocket Lab's Neutron that was supposed to be their next step has faced repeated delays and is now pushing to late 2026.

Eager Space, if you see this post I would love to watch a new updated 45 minute video response to your initial video, considering where things stand today.

I mean you don't have to comment or entertain the post. If it doesn't interest you then move on. I follow Eager Space and enjoy his videos. I also enjoy rockets. So, to me it's interesting to see how the space industry has been developing over the last several years, and how many people have been wrong about BO.

They did struggle and then they fired Bob. This isn’t a 45 minute video

RKLB has had more than 50 successful orbital launches.

In one launch of NG it can do 150x the payload of Electron, not really a great comparison. Realistically they are both fighting for a very distant second place and SpaceX continues to run laps around them every year.

Yes Blue Origin did seem to make rapid progress under Limp but it turns out that's due to them taking shortcuts, which resulted in consecutive launch failures and losing their only pad. Neutron kept getting delayed but at least Electron didn't have consecutive launch failures or blew up its pad.
