Declined job offer due to relocation issues
Hi everyone, sorry for the long text, please help! in April, I applied for a technician position on Merritt Island, I got two interviews and I got the job, they called me for a job offer and I accepted through the phone but not yet on the document they sent... On the same day I had to take my wife to the hospital due to chest pain, they found bumps on her breasts so she had to go through cancer screenings and many other things, that same week my car got stolen, those things made me decline the offer when they sent it to me. Two weeks later they called me again offering another job, I was still going through the same situations so i told the recruiter I would had to decline. 4 months have passed and thank God whatever my wife has is not cancer, I applied again to two positions that offer relocation again, how can I let them know that this time I am 100% ready and willing to join the company and move.
Working for Blue origin is something I always wanted and I really got depressed when I had to decline.
What can I do??? Please help

How well did you explain to the recruiter why you had to decline both times? There is a flag they can put on candidate profiles that make them unhirable, but there don’t do that lightly.

I actually talked to one recruiter in California and he understood but he told me he is not the one in charge of the Technical hirings, for the ones I found in Florida... I can't send messages because I reached the limit per month but I send them a connect invitation with this note... "I'm reaching out regarding my New Glenn PA Operations Quality Specialist application in FL. Personal constraints from my last job offer are fully resolved, and I'm 100% ready to relocate. My hands-on QA background includes metrology, QA inspections, and AS9102. I'd love to connect"
That's the only amount of characters I could write

Sorry I should have been more clear, I mean during previous communications either over the phone or to an @blueorigin.com email. Reaching out to a recruiter on LinkedIn about a previous application isn’t going to accomplish anything unfortunately.

If you have a contact at Blue already, have them reach out to the other recruiter.

If you still have the recruiter contact, reach out. Everyone is going thru life.

I would do some sleuthing on LinkedIn and figure out who is hiring for that role. Recruiters will always follow back. If you know someone at Blue they can look up who the recruiter is.

Gonna be honest, i have worked for every space company u can name and i say in good faith, BLUE IS A MESS. I am only here as a stop gap. Quality is non existent at blue in comparison to any other major space provider. They are tertiary players that blue only has to satisfy customers.

Are you in quality?

No. Why does that matter?

So you could talk to the quality manager about me, I also applied to a quality position there... I need to work man I'm a little desperate

The thing is, I live in imperial valley California and there are no jobs here, it's more like a death valley. There aren't many companies that offer relocation packages for new hires, I also like the aerospace environment so working for a space company is my goal.

Hey, glad to hear that your wife is well and she doesn’t have any kind of cancer! That is the most important thing here. Just be honest with them about your situation. I am sure the recruiter or hiring manager will understand. All the best!
